I have a couple Winchesters & they perform flawlessly. I'd get the SX3 with a 26" barrel and I'd get it in a camo pattern as well. I know that there are a TON of Browning fans out there....but....I personally don't care that much for Browning (I think it's over priced). You might be able to find an SX2 for a little less money & I wouldn't turn around for the difference as far as performance is concerned. Best of luck.

thaks for your input,i am leaning more toward the winchester.i dont think the browning name is worth another 100-200 dollars...thanks again

the first thing is do you to go pump or smiauto? your saying the sx3 well you are going simauto. I have a winchester super X2. love it. but in the winter it tends to frezze up. now you don't think you want the 3.5" for the little price difference you can have it just in casse, but with that you will have problems with the low brass/cheep shells. if you want a great gun for all I would say go with a nova.
to go with the winchester vs. the browning. well they are made by the same company.your just paying for the name. so I would go with the winchester. I bought a winchester 1300 about five or six years ago. it's smooth bore with riffed sights. great deer, dove, rabbit gun.I bought a riffeled choke tube for it for deer hunting. it coast me I think around $180.00
I hunt for just about everything in Ohio. so I have different guns for different things. but my nova can and does get used for them all. just don't use the factory mod. choke for ducks IT SUCKS.

I'll vouch for nova, I have one and it is a GREAT gun. What you said though shelt really depends on the situation, I use my modified for everything, ducks included, and it works pretty darn good. For close range, the modified is gonna have a really tight pattern and it is gonna be kinda hard to hit the ducks, thats where the cylinder and improved cylinder come in.
