schunter...I have absolutely no experience doing this...but I am starting..just waiting on my fletcher to arrive...
I've bought acetone and denatured alcohol at Lowes...Fletchtite Platinum Glue, had a box cutter handy for getting off old fletching, and I ended up buying a bitzenberger fletcher with a straight clamp..I shoot a whisker and the guys at bitz said use a straight clamp with a slight offset for the best results out of a whisker..
I asked many guys on here and on archery talk about this topic and found the majority favor the bitz...along with both proshops in my area...one being Gander Mountain the other being my favorite archery store...hope this helped

Bitzenburger with a straight clamp. I have mine set to about a 3 degree right offset.

Bitzenberger is the best jig imo. Its all metal and is good and sturdy. As far as other tools some 90% alcohol, and something to strip them with such as a utility knife or a fletching striper. There are many different glues that you can use. I like fletchtie platinum but I leave my arrows in the jig longer than most some my next pick is goat tuff.

Bohning makes a gig just for fletching blazer vanes. I believe it is called The Tower and fletches 3 vanes at a time with an offset.

If you have a properly tuned fall away rest, put as much helical on the arrow you can. The rest will not interfere with the vanes & the more twist you put on the vanes the more spin you get from your arrow which will give you better arrow flight.

When I first started to fletch my own arrows I bought a jojan multi fletch RH . i have since bought the Bitz in RH . I now only use the Bitz I get a better seat on the arrow with the fletch . It takes more time but well worth it in end .

I've got an Arizona EZ fletch, and love it. Haven't used the Blitz yet.

When I used to shoot Aluminum arrows I bought a BPE fletchinf jig and it work pretty good. But when I went to carbon I had problems so I bought a Bitzenburger and it can't be beat. I fletch Beman ICS Hunters with Blazers no problem. I also use Arizona Archerys Fast set gel and you can't tear the fletch off.
