Does anyone have the Vectrix? I'm thinking about buying one and I was wondering how you like it. Thanks Casper

Shot about 8 arrows through the Vectrix and it was sweet! Just the model bow at the local archery range. Not my draw length, trigger, and aluminums and it still felt nice. Same day I shot the new Drenaline from Matthews and was blown away. Awfully expensive but man, what a bow. If I was in the market for a new bow it would be the Drenaline. Weird looking limbs on that thing too! They are maybe 2'' wide. Very smooth and quick though.

I shot a XT, Drenaline, Guardian, and Vectrix today. I dont like the guardians grip, its too small for me. XT was probably the smoothest of the bows but its not very fast. The drenaline was nice. Fast and little vibration. I felt like the Vectrix was the 2nd smoothest and was faster than the XT. I can get a vectrix off of ebay for about 650. At the proshop it was 750. Overall I think I liked the vectrix the most. Then the drenaline because it is so light, fast, and pretty smooth.

I am shooting the faster version (Vulcan) its similar tothe vectrix with a 6 inch brace. I love the bow its a great 3d and field bow. Super smooth and has speed to burn.

Yeah they are definately slim limbs!! Looked kinda funny at first but after you hold it and whip a few arrows, it is a sweet stick for sure! Wish I had an extra $4500 dollars to get a new Matthews with all the accessories. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

i love mine no hand shock fast and quiet.
VectrixHunter
I bought a Vectrix a few months back and I can't put this bow down. It's amazing. I shot this bow along with others and instantly fell in love with it. It releases very smooth with no hand shock.
Greenhead Rocker
I recently read that the Vectrix is an updated version of the original Trykon. If this is true, what changes were made and what do you all think of the Trykon. The reason I ask is because I was in a local bowshop the other day and they had a '06 Trykon (brand new) that they were trying to move, so they could get the newer '07 stuff. They had it priced for $600 out the door. Is this a good price??
Sagebrush
That's not a bad price but I would try to talk them down a little more if you can. Not a bad price though. I currently shoot a 2004 vipertec and really enjoy it. I probly won't get another bow for 3-5 more years.
Maryland Bowhunter
I have never been a fan of Hoyt . Until they came out with the vectrix I really like the way the bow looks . really don't want to go shoot one , I know I will end up buying one if I do .
Truth man
Before buying "The Truth" I shot the XT, Drenalin, Tribute, Allegience, CR334, Vulcan and a few others like E-Force and didn't see enough difference to pay $200 more! The Truth came out on top! The very next in line was the Vulcan, even with the 6" brace height it shot great. That bow was the smoothest of all!!!!! It's really hard to explain but it was SSSMMMOOOOOTTTHHH and the 325 IBO was nice too but I liked the Truth and that Bear Archery, Primos and Staff were carrying on Fred Bears tradition of High Quality at an affordable price.
The shop didn't have a Vectrex there but it probably shoots about the same as the Vulcan. The compound in the riser does make them a little heavier than those made with the aircraft aluminum risers. No biggie!
