These arent stocked birds right? South Dekota is the world capital for pheasant hunting.

I live in Iowa and the pheasant hunting here is pretty good. Last year, on my dad's 4 acreages, we shot over 160 birds. However, the first time I went to south dakota, in december, we pulled up to an abandoned farm place and there hundreds upon hundreds of birds getting up out of a grove. I was too much in awe to load the gun and get after em. This was just north of Mitchell.

Last year we had an incredibly good hatch for pheasants. This year, we will probably be lucky to get half of that. We have food plots, switch grass, wild flowers. Very good habitat and these are ALL wild birds. Tried to stock some quail but they didn't turn out.
