A summit is a good stand and they dont fall easy. they are some of the better climbers. If you liked fixed stands get a lone wolf. They are super light. The get the climbing sticks made by them. Just as portable as a climber and can go in any tree because they have a leveling option. A ladder is basically a two man set up. Not good for what you want. Why not stick with a blind? A good double bull would be hard to beat.

What about the Remington 30/06? I can't remember the exact name but it has the portable sectional stick type ladder (15') and a hang on stand with a pretty good base and is quite comfortable. They are only 79 bucks so I think that they are well worth it.

i had a lone wolf with the same strap on climbers i left it on public land for 2 days when i went back to hunt the stand was gone but the 3 climbers where still there and i still use the same climbers..i guess who ever stold my stand had their hands too full to carry my climbers or steps..
