I'm curious:
What breed of dog do you own (or you have owned in the past)?
Why did you choose that particular breed?
Have you been satisfied with your dog (is it intelligent, did it train easily, does it perform to your expecations, has it had any health issues, etc.)?
What do you hunt with your dog?

My dog learned almost every trick in the book 2 weeks after we got her. She was about 3 months old. Shes a great sniffer. She picks out EVERYTHING. She has been sick a couple times but she has been fine lately. Knock on wood

I've had the same Britney for 8 years now. Great bird dog, but a little high strung. There is a picture of me and him in the new catelog (Prostaffer part of the website should be updated soon too with a picture).

I have two labs; a white one, and a black one. I use them mostly for waterfowl hunting. I use them for everything I hunt beside big game. My dad owned a brittany for upland game many years ago.

Short legged beagle. Beautiful dog, but I'm convinced that she was put on the earth by Satan himself to test me! She's great with the kids, so that has been her saving grace!

I have a black lab/weimaraner mix, I got him because he was free and he was a nice dog. I am very happy with him so far, I have had him about a week now and he is already 90% potty trained, listens pretty well, catches on real quick and loves chasing the wing on the string which I have been told is a great sign.
My uncle loves German short hair pointers, he thinks they are the best hunting dog there is. My uncle got Tanks sister. Heres a few pics.

I've got two labs, a chocolate and a yellow. Both a full breed and I'm looking into starting my own kennel. They are great dogs, but you need to make sure you give them plenty of disipline. Other than that, they point, swim and flat out aim to please you.

I have two dogs. One is a St. Bernard/Lab mix that just looks like a Supersized Lab and the other is a little Lab mix (not sure what the second half is) but he's my duck hunter out of the two. Good boys but my next dog will either be a Purebred Lab or a GSP.

Rescued me a young Female Chocolate Lab from towards the end of Grouse season last year. First few times out she showed gun shy. Took her out with my son and shot the gun and it didn't phase her. She's much better now and VERY smart. Can't wait to work on her Grouse and Pheasant hunting soon!
Just a few months ago both pics! She is a camera hog! When I take it out to take pics he is all over it! Oh and now she sees the Shotgun case and she thinks it's time to hunt. Loves the water and chasing ducks. Oh and when the trout hit the deck shes all over them.

I have a golden retriever. She is a pretty good upland/waterfowler. The only weakness is on her point. She does do it but not really what her breed is for, I really had to stress the need for a good point with her but she still just wants to flush which is OK for me. I wanted a good house dog that hunts as a side job. My profession is an Adult Family Home and I wanted a dog that is friendly with people coming and going, easy with children, and will hunt with me when I can get away. She is really good with the chucker.

We have two Chesapeake Bay Retrievers at home. Great dogs IMO. BTW, what is a Chesapeake Lab as posted earlier in this thread? Simply a cross?
I know the Chessies and Labs have no commonalities within the breeding. Chessies were derived from Newfoundlands.

I own an English Springer Spaniel.
I chose them because they are a very versital dog they can hunt chukars without overheating and love to swim for ducks. They are a slightly smaller dog bigger than a britany, but i take mine goose hunting and he does great.
I have been very satisfied with my dog, he does everything i want and has had no health problems.
I hunt every kind of bird i can grouse, quail, chukar, ect....

We hunt with a Large Munsterlander. Oh is it a great dog, only 1 yr old. Very intelligent, calm, great house dog. So far we have hunted pheasent with it, the last time we took him out he retrieved all six birds we got, and i took him out behind our house and got a rabbit. We tend on hunting some grouse also with him. Here is my opinion on him he points like a english pointer, retrieves better, looks better, and is more intelligent, and a better house dog. Also they are easily trained.
