i dont even know him.all i know about him is he is successfull.sometimes thats all it takes for people to dislike you.what he has written seems to make sense to me.

HUNTIN162 has got it right - anyone who dislikes Chuck can't admit their jealousy. If you read his book, Super Slam, or the book about him, Life at Full Draw, you would understand why he is so successful. Chuck is the most dedicated bowhunter out there. He is not a rich man, he doesn't hunt a lot private ranches, or do anything unethical. He does his homework and researches the best areas and if need be the best outfitters. Then, the two most important things he does is give himself a ton of time to hunt and he WILL NOT settle for something less than his goal. If he decides he wants a 350 or better bull he won't drop the string until he's found that bull. Until the rest of us can glass a 330 bull and look the other way without jumping for joy and planning a stalk there isn't much else to say. Reading his stories about many of the trophies he takes it will start out like this.... after 15 days of hard hunting or hiking or glassing or whatever. After 15 days most of us are back in our comfortable beds and back at our crappy jobs. Chuck is usually prepared to stay as long as is necessary.

Chuck is no doubt a lucky man but in my opinion he has done a lot of hard work to create his own luck as well. He deserves every trophy he gets and all the recognition that should go along with it.

I COULDNT AGREE MORE WITH YA...BUT IF THE GUY IS SO WORTHY AND WORKS SO HARD, WHY 'PUMP' UP THE BOTTOM LINE? HE DONT NEED TOO!! HE IS AN AWESOME HUNTER AND WRITTER...I WOULD RATHER HUNT WITH WILL OR TED NUGENT. TED IS A GOD

I don't recall Chuck starting this thread or pumping anything up. This gets brought up every year and turns into a mess. It's obvious that we all have an opinion. Let's move on.

What I know about Chuck A.

His sister lives in Gillette Wy.(my dad knows her)
He left his wife.
He is now with a women that worked for Hoyt.
Now he reps the mail order brand for Hoyt. (slam & 1/2)
He is a good hunter.
I shot some arrows once that had his pic on them.


Other than that I dont know much.

If I had the money or I should say if the majority of the hunting public had the money to spend on hunting like him we too could be in the record books.Just like the people who pay $40,000 for a sheep tag or the people who buy there way into the elk record book by buying an San Carlos bull tag,that is not hunting.Hunting is everything YOU DO prior to your hunt,stand selection,scouting etc. :? Public land and he uses no guides right,I have read far tooo many stories.

have you ever had to explain a hunting picture and saythe bull is alot bigger than it looks in this picture? i have seen photos like that.so what is wrong with chuck showing his trophy in a way that will show the quality for what it is.someone holding a rack at arms length or sitting at the back of a bull are standard poses.do you really think he is trying to make a 400+ bull look even bigger???does he need to??

I like Ted but he hunts behind alot of fences. Not my thing. Id like to hunt with jim shockey in the yukon. That would be an adventure.

I never liked him because he is all about advertising and showing off his kill.

I think that Chuck Adams is a great hunter. He studies the animals and seems to put himself in the right place at the right time over and over again! A 400 inch bull is a 400 inch bull, other than shooting them behind a fence, that is a great accomplishment. I don't care how much money you have, if you are able to consistently kill HUGE elk on public land, than you have some skills!! Most people that bash on him are just envious of him. Heck, I am jealous of him, but I respect his abilities and love looking at the pics of the animals he kills.

Again I say He didn't start this thread and I'm pretty sure he doesn't care what any of us think of him. Who cares if it was private or public if it's done legally.
