as for winning this, I usually kill 2 to 3 in oklahoma, kind of rare to get a real long beard though, we will see.

Hey fellas... I'll be hunting Washington again this year. Merriams, Easterns, and Rio's... Limit 1 Eastern and 2 or 1 of each of the other subspecies. Trying to bag at least one bird this season and hopefully he won't be small.

HEY TEAM! I went out this morning for a little scouting. Heard a few gobblers and saw one tom up in his tree. He had a nice beard and some good spurs that I could see through the binocs. It definitely got my adrenaline flowing for spring...can't wait for the end of April!

I'll be glad when I can finally go! Our season doesn't open until the last week of April.

i got my bird a week ago just got my pics uplaoded ill post em tomm. he was a nice 3 year old 1 1/8 spurs 11 1/4 beard and wieghted 23 lbs. all the birds around here this year have been small. my friend matt got one 2nd week and it had a 11inch beard and 1 5/8 spurs and wieghted 16 lbs thats smaller then most jakes around this area.
