i would never buy an item from the bargain cave. it is a known fact that alot of those products are ones that customers have returned for defects or something else. Now, having said that, cabela's is without question the premiere(spelling) outfitter out there and i always buy their products over all the other stores. That sounds contradicting huh? well, that is the truth fellas, i know a few employees and they love cabelas, but they also tell me the truth too! I love cabelas as well, i just won't buy from the bargain cave and also, all the products i have bought have been just terrific!

SOME OF THE STUFF IN THE BARGAIN CAVE IS RETURNED, BUT MOST IS NEW DISCONTINUED, LAST YEARS MODELS OR CAMO, BUT STILL NEW.
SAME WAY AT BASS PRO.
I ALWAYS CHECK OUT THEIR CLEARANCE STUFF WHEN AT THE STORES.
GOOD WAY TO SAVE MONEY.

heck, I find what I am looking for and then go to ebay (yes ebay) and find it cheaper. I am sure most of you are turning up your noses right now at that idea but believe me I have bought a ton of brand new hunting things from ebay to include my treestand (summit for about 80 dollars cheaper), my kolpin gel sling (30 dollars in the store; 15 w/free shipping at ebay), and all kinds of limbsaver tech. I just think it pays to shop around. Not to mention Cabelas is indeed the best outdoors provider there is, I just cant wait until montana gets smart enough to invest in one since there is nothing but crap for outdoor stores here. If I get anything from the bargin cave and its been used believe me its going right back to them. Just like others have mentioned, its not used or broken things in the bargin cave, just outdated or last years model. They cant sell you broken items!

One of the reasons new stuff on eBay is so cheap is because many of the sellers aren't actually dealers, and don't have to abide by the pricing rules set by the manufacturer. One example I know of is the Cuddeback - sellers buy them for $199. To be an authorized dealer you have to sell them for at least $299, but those that don't choose that route can sell for anything over $199, just so they make a profit. The down side of this is that you can't return a malfunctioning product to an unauthorized dealer, and you have to deal straight with the manufaturer. It usually isn't any big deal, but I read on another forum that Cuddeback won't honor the warranty on cameras sold by anyone but an authorized dealer. I don't know that it's fact, but at least two members had problems that the company wouldn't fix because the cams didn't come from an authorized dealer. Just food for though. I love eBay too!!!
