I have always shot my bow with my quiver still attatched to it. I know lots and lots of folks who prefer to remove their quiver while shooting. They also like to take their quiver of while hunting and secure it to their tree. I never liked doing this because it is a hassle. I just want to shoot. I know that when I do shoot without a quiver, I get less noise and vibration. I've just practiced with my quiver attatched because that is how I will be hunting especially if a quick follow up shot is needed or presents itself. What's your preference?
Does anyone think that those mini Sims accessory savers would help with the noise and vibration if I stuck a few on my quiver? That is what I was leaning towards for a solution.

never. Mine is strapped to my pack with zip ties. I like it better when stalking and when i get to my tree i just strap my pack on the tree. works great

I'm debating about this myself. Last year I removed my quiver when I got to the stand. This year I got a new bow for christmas and it has a two piece hoyt quiver. It looks way better, it's low profile (doesn't stick out far from the side), but you can't remove when you get to your stand.
My Dad said what if ya need an arrow right away, and when you do finally get one the animal is gone? He makes a good point so this year I'm going to try the two piece quiver.
For shooting this summer I will probably remove it then put it back on when the season gets close.

Jimbo if your gonna hunt with it on your bow then you should practice with it on your bow as well....there is a diffrence in the feel of the bow with it on and off and it may effect you when the moment of truth comes

Ya then I should have a full quiver of arrows, a mask, gloves, my hunting coat and use broadheads. I just figure things will be different no matter what, ya know what I mean? What about guys that shoot a target bow in the summer? There hunting bow has got to feel dfferent for sure.
It might be a good idea to keep it on but I was thinking it would be nice to have it out of the way for the summer.

I'm with MB. I always leave mine on, except in the case.

for me it depends on the situation. If I'm in a stand or on the ground I take the quiver off. Removing the quiver makes most every bow shoot a little different, so if you practice with it off, shoot it with it off. When I hunt with it off I'm stationary, and I always have my quiver either right next to me or under my seat with an arrow just laying on top. That way if I need a quick followup shot, I don't have to fight with it. One other thing to consider is that a bow without a quiver looks smaller, so there's less movement involved bringing a quiverless bow up than one that's so equipped. It just might give you that extra edge against a wary buck. Either way, I'm a big proponent of practicing with the same gear/setup you use while hunting. My old bow isn't too picky either way, so for me it depends on the situation.

I didn't vote..My option was not there.

I take my quiver off as soon as I am settled in my stand.ALWAYS.It's out of my way,a little less weight to hold up,less likely to hang up on a limb, hit the stand, vibrate, make extra movement...It's probably all in my head except for the vibrating part.
