Get him a bird to play with . should just chase and have a good time. there never to young to get the smell going. This is a young lab or chessie starting out on pheasant that have been imobilized. Its not mine but it shows how young they can be. 8 weeks is ok to start simple birdy games. Pigeons with wings taped down and the legs tied work great also.
