I've used a .22 pistol for forest grouse. It works great! Head shot every time, those dumb birds just sit on the ground and wait for you to shoot them. And when they do flush just watch the tree it lands in and take it. Always great fun!

thats how i shoot them when im squirrel hunting cleans the heads right off dont waste any meat at all and your not picking out bb's

yeah those stray bb's can break ur teeth of like no other lol
i think its harder to shoot a grouse in the head with a 22 anyway but thats me i dotn really do much shotgunning

That snake shot, or bird shot or whatever, for any rifle or pistol isn't good because the bbs ruin the rifling in the barrels. So i suggest you don't let any bird shot fly through your barrel there huntinfreak.

that birdshot does nothing we use it in barns to kill the birds becouse is is so weak it wont damage anything. you have to be within 5 yards to kill the lil birds.
