Congrats on the hen, here in Illinois we can not shoot hens, can you guys out east shoot them when hunting wild birds?

When wild bild hunting we can not shoot hens but there are no wild birds feft so we can shoot what kicks up.

ya i kicked up a hen today 2 but had no shot he was half way in the woods when i kicked him up me and my dad went in to try to get him her but could not find her

were you on gun club??? i am not sure, but I dont htink you can shoot hens on public land.

No, I was on public land and yes you can shoot hens because they are stocked. There are only a few native birds left in New Jersey and to kick one up is almost impossible.

We talked to a few members of our gun club, and the pheasant i got, we think was a wild one. talk bout being lucky
