This past weekend I shot a doe at TEN FEET AWAY. I came over a little bridge and she was just standing there eating and I hit her right behind the front shoulder and a little low for a heart shot. the arrow burried to the vane. When I went to follow the trail there was only a little blood at first and then there was the red sea just everywhere, all over the ground, trees and logs. I followed the trail 20 feet from my tailgate and the blood slowed down to a trickle along the way and totally stopped 20 feet from my truck. I continued to search for two hours (until pitch black). The next day I went back and still no findings. Man that sucks how can something this bad come from a shot that easy and good? Sorry that I cant help just quite yet team but dont worry rifle season starts this weekend and I will not stop until the brown is down or I loose daylight next tuesday. Sorry teammates and sorry to the deer gods for leaving an injured animal. I feel very bad for such a terrible incident but what can I do. Maybe Ill get lucky and find her alive in rifle season and finish the job. Sorry guys. Hunt hard keep the faith and be safe.
