It happened to me this weekend. I shot a doe only 10 FEET AWAY. The shot was right behind the front shoulder and lower for a heart shot. The arrow went all the way to the vanes. At first I could only find a few specs of blood and then about 50 yards into the search there was blood everywhere. I found my arrow at about the 50-70 yard mark completely covered with blood. I followed the trail all the way to my truck and it stopped no kidding 20 yards from my tailgate. No more blood no nothing. I searched in a big circle for two hours until it was dark. The next day I went back to the scene and still couldnt find anything. That is the most weird thing that has happened to me in the woods in a while. Sorry guys that I could help out just quite yet. Rifle season starts on the 23rd on Oct so I should be gettin brown down soon. Keep up the faith and hunt hard and safe. Also sorry to the deer gods. Man that sucks but what are you going to do.
