That makes sense. I hadn't thought that all the way through. My scope is a couple of inches higher than the muzzle. Therefore, the sight plane and the bullet leave the gun at 2 different points and intersect at whatever distance I'm zeroed in at. So, the bullet, in theory, is rising to meet the center of the crosshairs.
I'm gonna try to find a place to take a few 100 yard shots one of these days. If I don't mess up, the holes are touching each other at 50 yards. So they should be dang close at 100. But I know I need to prove it. Plus it would help my confidence a lot just to know I could do it.
