If you're gonna be hunting the BIG big game, you're gonna want a high-quality bullet that will not fail. Some of my personal favorites that will serve you well - Speer Trophy Bonded Bear Claw, Winchester Fail Safe, Barnes Triple Shock, Nosler Partition, and Sierra Game King. The 150gr would probably do the job, but you might consider moving up to the 160-175gr bullets for the really big game. That's a great gun, and it should serve you well for a long time. I'd love to get a model 700 one day - my dream rifle is a 700 LTR, probably in .308, but I'd be happy with a 700 classic in a more unique caliber, like .264 mag smile.gif Good luck!

I have a 7 mag and I have never been let down with the Nosler partitions. Good luck!! I think you've made a good caliber choice.

Any of the bullets Wes suggested are good choices. I would look at a 160gr. in one of those bullets, also don't overlook the new Nosler Accubond. I have not shot any game with them yet but reports have been good. I am using them on this years elk hunt and hope to have positive results with them. They are very accurate in my 2 guns. Factory 140gr in 270wsm and 140gr reloads in my7mm-08. If they perform as expected it will probably be the bullet I use from now on. I shot 160gr Grand Slam's when I had my 7mag and they performed great. If you reload you can have a wide range of bullets to choose from. You have a very good caliber and I wish you luck in what ever you decide to shoot.

I like the Ballistic Silvertip for Deer it is a good round. I like Winchester ammunition it seems to work well if you apply it to the right animal.

ya big Bore you'll like the guys around here. I use a 7mm mag for moose as well, great caliber. I would go with the Winchester Failsafes, there awesome.

Food for Thought!!! Sectional Density on a 145 grain 7mm is .257, a 160 grain is .283 and a 175 grain is off the chart at .310!!! The higher the Sectional Density the deeper the penetration!!! For Larger game use a bullet with a high Sectional Density!!! I would use a 160 grain for Deer size game and a 175 grain for Elk!!!Good Luck
