well i decided to hunt my best friends property over the weeken on saterday morning to try and get a bird for the season. Well i got out there and set up on this bird when he was still up in the tree. And once it started to get light i had this bird extreamly fired up. He Gobbled at every single noise i made and it was amazing. With in mabe a 1/2 beeing therer he probly gobbled made 40 or more times. Well i took out my wing and flew down and i know he heard it because right after that i seen him fly down and when he hit the ground he came running right to me all the way across the feild. And when he was about 70yards to me i heard something to the side of me and there was another Hunter that did not have permission to be on the property stalking this bird and need less to say the gobbler seen him and took off the other way and i dident get him. But I did talk to the other hunter and told him to get off the property and if i ever see him again on the property i will turn him in to the DEC. But thing like that make me extreamly mad because i took a day off from work, and what he did was compleatly wrong and roud. And another thing is it is not safe at all. So i plan on burning another day of school this week and i took this and next week off of work so i could do some more turkey hunting because i want to get one with the gun and another with the bow. Ill let you guys know how i make out when i get home from hunting.

Same thing happened to me on Saturday on posted land! I worked this huge bird (4 1/2 year old I believe) from 5:55 am until 7:15 am. He gobbled easily over 100 times and the guy I was hunting with was extremely excited. From 150 yards out he slowly made his way toward us. He would gobble and strut and eventually come 20 yards closer at a time. I moved back 45 yards and kept calling and he came closer but not close enough so I moved back again. He eventually made his way to about 50 yards, too far for the old timer when he just turned and walked fast up the hill where he came from. I was wondering what happened when I heard a box call coming from the road. I started to head in that direction to tell them the land is posted, which I'm sure they know because their are signs everywhere, and a silver truck was pulling away. I missed them too. I was furious to say the least but It seems to happen every turkey season and I have learned to deal with it.
