I was thinking about buying the trophy ridge, or a copper john's, which one would you guys recomend then?

Thanks,

Jeff

I have heard good about both brands. I have a PSE F-22 sight. It is similar to the Copper John and Spott Hogg sights. They are drilled to accept a little Indiglo sight light that PSE offers. I believe that Copper John uses the same light. I am taking two pins off of mine. 5 pins are way too many.

I would recommend the Copper John sights. If you like that style of sight, I believe you can't go wrong with the new PSE sights. They are a lot less expensive They are machined just like the rest. Mine seems solid as a rock.

i've had a TR for 4 years I love it. most people say they have a problem seeing the pins in low light throught their peep that because their using to small of a peep sight I upgrade to a bigger peep and have had no problems with mine There has been many times when I could see my pins but it was to dark to see the game that was under my stand. So I give the TR 5 stars.

I really like the design of the TR sights but I had two of the fiber optics that wrap around the sight, break last year:( Luckly they havent fell out yet. I also had trouble with the sight moving a little back and forth as your looking at it. The two bolts that tighten at the top and bottom seem to not seat real well against the plastic. I am afraid to tighten any more because I dont want to crack them. Bottom line is I will be changing sights, and have no idea which one I will choose but PLASTIC will not be invovled in any part of them. Just my opinion.... biggrin.gif

cholloway,

Are you using the screws with the plastic knobs on top? If so, those are not meant for extended use. They are meant for ease of adjustment while sighting it in, them you're supposed to swap over to the regular hex screws. If you have a problem with it, give their customer service a call. I was really impressed with how they have handled my requests for replacement parts/fixes/etc. in the past. Worth a try anyway...

I was talking about the two hex nuts that tighten the unit that holds the actual sights. I didnt know those two wing nuts were supposed to removed. I did tighten the nuts inside the wing nuts with a allen wrench and that seemed to work. I will call the customer service #. Do you get that on a website? or the packaging?
