Well, I put up my Mach12 today and started looking for a recurve. I just got real interested because I have a buddy who hunts pheasants and chukar with a Recurve and wooden arrows. He invited me on a hunt and I accepted. What is a good set-up for wingshooting with a bow? Im also thinkin about wooden arrows....yeh, i need help.

PSEaxis,

This is the site for Black Widow Bows..you might be able to find some answers to you questions on here.
Don't over poundage yourself with whatever bow that you get...you are just asking to hurt yourself if ya do. I don't know what poundage of compound that you use now but if you are going to start using a recurve get one that is at least 25% less poundage then your compound....you want to be able to keep the recurve under control at full draw.
I don't use wooden arrow right now so I can't help out on that...but you might think about getting some flu flu's...they are a type of fletching that you can use for birds and other small game.
You will need to get either a tab to shoot with or a shooting glove...I use a glove...or maybe you are one of those that can shoot bare fingers.
Let us know what ya get and how much you like or dislike it. biggrin.gif

isshe, you the man. I went ahead and ordered the PL V IRONWOOD One-Piece I did over night delivery so I can practice tommorrow and take it to the field this weekend. I went ahead and had a half dozen 'Black Widow' signature arrows fitted with pink flu flus... wait till the guys see these at the hunt club. laugh.gif Thanks a bunch!
