I have a question regarding sights. I currently have a HHA single movable pin sight. All I ever hunt is whitetails, and I have had good luck with this sight. I guess I am just thinking about trying something a little different and I know a lot of people (including my Brother) are strong advocates of multiple pins. I am just curious what you guys would recommend. Like I said it isn't that I need a new sight, but if I am going to try something new it is a good time as I am done chasing deer. I can see the benefits of not having to adjust the yardage, but I also like not having to remember which pin.

For those that use Multiple pins how many do you go with? What colors? What Diameter? I shoot a Pro 38 Bow Tec so it spits the arrows out pretty good. Thanks for any feedback or suggestions.

I was just at the Archery Trade Show in Indy. It was great. There are a lot of sights out on the market. I would look at several before I made up my mind. I also would pick one with a .29 pin over smaller or larger pins. I like this size so it does not disappear to early or get to bright with the light of day. I liked several at the show, they were the Top Pin from Trophy Taker, all of the Spot Hogs. Do not let my choices make up your mind. Go to your local archery store and look for yourself. I did not see all of them. These were close to our booth at the show.

Good luck,

Whopper,

Since you don't really care whether you get a new one or not, take your time to decide. If you have a Cabela's or Bass Pro in your area, make a special day trip and shoot some of their bows with different sights. You may be better off going to a more-specialized pro shop, though...they would be more likely to have aftermarket sights already installed on their bows. Just try some of different makes and models and types. I love my Trophy Ridge Flatliner. The pins are vertical and in-line, and don't block nearly as much of the target as some other models. It only has 3 pins, and I set mine to 20, 30, and 40...the 20 pin is good for 10, too. If you want to add more pins, you can order them from their website, or if you only want 2 pins you can take one off. They're also fully adjustable without tools.

Then again, if you are happy with what you have, why change? The hardest part of archery hunting is judging distance and knowing your gear. If you have both of those licked, stick with what you have.

I have been researching a new sight for my bow too. I want the following.
1. adjustable without tools
2. All metal construction
3. Round sight ring
4. Horizontal pins, 3 preferred
5. Looped extended fiber optic for aditional brightness
6. bubble level
7. luminencent ring

The only one that I have found that has ALL of this is the Cobra sidewinder LX. I did see that Tru-Glo is making a sight that is very similiar for 2005.

You might try to add the hha triple threat head to your existing sight. It has three pins which for most hunting situations would put you within acceptable distances. You could then set up your middle pin to work with farther distances. click here to see

Extreme Sights are a good choice. I really like mine. All one piece with small bright pins.

i would use one pin to many pins are not a good thing the less you think about the pins you can focus on the animal you are trying to kill!!!!!!!!!!!!
