Get ready guys....All the hunting gear at Wally World will be going on Clearance pretty quick.

Here's what I do...Whatever you want, put it on layaway prior to it going on clearance. Guarantee that you will get your specific items. Let it sit on layaway for a few weeks and when they go on clearance, they have to give you the clearance price when you pick them up. Saves you big bucks in the long run.

I just put Camo, Backpacks, Fanny packs, pouches, scents, lures, cover scents, anything I will WANT in the next hunting trip. Do it now or else the supplies will be gone.

I was at my local Wal Mart yesterday and they had three Thunderhead 125's on sale for $8.95. There was three boxes of them left.

If anybody wants them let me know. Just pay me back plus mailing cost.

It's about saving money. Before the hunting gear goes on clearance...put it on layaway now to guarantee that it will be there when it does go on clearance. When you see that it has(the little tags will be RED) pick up your layaway and have them discount all the items that are clearanced. You will be surprised how much you saved. There's alot on clearance now......TOO LATE since you can't put clearanced items on layaway. The longer you have the items on layaway....the cheaper they get. They look in the inventory to see how many items of a specific type, brand, kind they have on hand. since YOU have them on layaway in the store, they will show up as on hand clearanced items. They will get cheaper over time. The longer you wait...the cheaper they become...I can't explain it any easier than that.

I think 2050z's post may have been about the one before, about buying guns at WalMart. I'd be interested in some elaboration on that comment myself, even if it's not what 2050z was referring to.

Hi, I think what some of the comments were about was the fact that Walmart doen't always carry #1 goods. I know people who have had to return items to the manufacturer, only to find out the goods were factory seconds to begin with. That's likely what the gun comment was all about. Closeouts, of course, are good deals, in most cases, even if the goods are not #1 goods to begin with. Some items too, might be manuafturer's discontinued items. Just always remember, if the deal looks too good to be true, it usually is. I've come to believe highly in the phrase that you get what you pay for. Like the old sneaker joke, was it NIKE or MIKEY? -Jim biggrin.gif

Thanks Jim for clearing that up. The Thead's I bought seemed to fine.

If they are inferior to the guns that are sold at lets say....Cabelas, Why would they be sold to the public if they didn't pass numerous testing before being shipped out ??? Would Wal-Mart sell an unsafe gun ??? I DOUBT IT !!! Maybe these guns only have cosmetic blemishes to either the blueing, checkering......etc. Mechanicaly they would have to be perfect. I really doubt that Remington would let a 870 Express out the door if the choke tube threads were messed up. Cmon guys.....think about it.

I agree, the guns are mechanically sound. The differences are likely cosmetic, or have less expensive sights, scopes, stocks, finishes, etc. -Jim
