He was taking care of himself. All male turkeys do it. I read a biologist report not too long ago and it stated in there that during the springtime all males do this almost daily! Crazy...

Very neat video. One thing I have found is that if you hunt turkeys long enough, they will do alot of things that make you scratch your head. I've seen a tom breed a hen, a strutting hen, fighting hens, fighting toms, fighting jakes, turkeys flying creeks, turkeys dusting themselves in dust bowls and thats just the stuff they do on a normal basis. I seen a video once where turkeys were roosting on telephone poles |
