I recieved one of those mirror blinds for turkey hunting.
has a pack, fairly light. Gonna see how it works when I go to texas. I can just imagine my decoys refelcting into it and also a gobbler seeing that his reflection walknig to it! Hopefully he runs to cut the "other" gobbler off and run into the mirror and break his neck stone cold dead........ sure will save me on ammo cost! -------------------- No plants, trees, or animals were harmed in the transmission of this electronic file. I've always wondered about that...if a tom might see his reflection, come in to whack him and knock it over, only to catch you "with your pants down" in a matter of speaking...

I've always wondered about that...if a tom might see his reflection, come in to whack him and knock it over, only to catch you "with your pants down" in a matter of speaking... I think it will work, back in the 70s, i had a red pickup, and i just waxed, back then there weren't tons of turkeys in MI like there is now, i was driving down a dirt road, and there was a Tom in the road, so i slowed down and stopped to see and watch him, he was about 20' away when i stopped, after a couple of minutes, he came up and started pecking of the door of my truck. the only thing my buddy and i could figure ?, is he saw his reflection on my truck ?. when the light is right out side, sun in a certain piont in the sky, regular glass windows, large bay or picture windows reflect the sky and birds flying away have been known to fly into these windows and break thier necks! I have had two partridges do that in homes that I have lived in through out my life! So I would believe it would work!

The mirror blind only reflects what is a few feet from the mirror taking your surroundings and making them your camouflage. In order for a gobbler to see his reflection, he would have to be SOOOO close! haha and should be dead already!
Good luck! I havent talked to anyone who has tried it in the field so let us know how it works! Nick -------------------- |

i have heard of these blinds working well. a friend of mine from team radical outdoors shot a doe at 13 yards with a bow using one of these blinds. i would bet that if it will fool a mature doe into being that close you can get a turkey within shotgun or bow range.

Had a jake stand at my daughters window (near ground level) and gobble for 15 minutes or so one morning. All I could figure is that he saw his reflection.
Give us an update and let us know how the blind works for you. -------------------- |
