Very well could work. One thing I do know is if you think you have a fail proof plan they normally prove you wrong

I appreciate all the good ideas. I've decided to hunt some other farms for a while and see if he gets a little more receptive to calling once his hens are bred.
On another note, I called in 4 of the hardest gobbling jakes I have ever seen Saturday morning. It sure was a let down when those 4 heads topped the ridge and there wasn't a decent beard in the bunch.
