Some of you may remember me complaining about the mishaps I was having with my 11-87 Super Mag last year....
http://cabinchat.primos.com/index.php?show...=63966&st=0 Well, after just accepting that the choke was seized up; I continues to hunt with it. It failed me again while on a snow goose hunt on the St. Lawrence river, deeming the gun useless until I was able to take it apart. I went to the gunsmith 2 more times with it after that in the past year to get problems fixed and the gunsmith has said that it was one of the most used guns he has ever worked on. I couldn't believe it when he said that, the gun is only 3.5 years old but I won't lie, I beat the crap out of it during waterfowl season. So last week, it happens again while I'm just one goose shy of my limit. I'm absolutely furious and I'm ready to just throw the gun in the river. I call Remington as soon as I'm home and give them the low down, the lady is very nice and gives me instructions on how to ship the gun to the factory. So, I ship it out the next day and I got it back from the yesterday. Turns out, the steel shot had caused the choke to expand and crack inside the barrel. They give me a brand new 28" bbl barrel with a choke, repair the link that was bent sideways inside the firing mechanism and fixed the loose feed latch. My gun has been given new life and I couldn't be happier, to top it off, it didn't cost me a dime! -------------------- |

I love when companies stand behind their products. Keeps the customers happy and coming back. I bent the lever on my CVA optima, it was totally my fault, and I called the company to see if I could order a replacement. Instead they had me ship it to them and they fixed it for free. I love CVA and their lifetime warranty!
