It should have happened this morning guys but the guy i was hunting with moved his gun and the gobbler seen him. The gobbler started clucking and turned and walked away clucking the hold time. The guy i was hunting with said he was sorry for moving but like i told him it happens. Yes, I admit i was heart broken but thats why its called hunting. After all that we was sitting there talking bout what just happened for bout 10 minutes got up to leave and 2 more gobblers gobbled about 80 yds to our right.
We got back into our spots immediately and I made a few calls. They gobbled and walked bye my hen decoy at about 70 or 80 yds headed back to where they had roosted never to be heard from again. They knew something wasnt quite right after the first gobbler got spooked and clucked i think. But in all it was an awesome mourning accept for the wigging gun barrel. lol We was in the middle of 6 different birds gobblin there heads off. We seen 3 of the 7 gobblers and they stayed vocal til about 9 o'clock. I will be back in there on them one day this week for sure. That's turkey hunting Mississippi!! The more people around the more chances to get picked off. I like to hunt with a buddy though sometimes. It adds to the excitement when you kill one.

That's what I did when I was younger. Me, my dad, and my uncle were set up on a cloverfield. We called one out into the field but he hung up about 100 yards down the field and strutted back and for about 30 minutes so when he started to make his way too us I wasn't properly set up because my arm was sore from holding the gun. When he got close enough I slid my hand up to get ready for the shot and he saw me and took off! But your right Mississippi, that's why they call it hunting!
