Nikon Buckmaster Or Burris Fullfield Ii? Options

I'm looking at adding to my collection. I want a cheaper but decent scope. Right now I have all Nikon Monarchs. They're great scopes but they can get kinda pricey sometimes. The rifle this scope will be going on is for my nephews and friends to shoot when I take them hunting so it doesn't need a high end optic. If my friends want high end then they can buy it themselves. I just thought I'd save a little cash and put it toward gas and ammo for my hunting trips instead of a scope that I won't even be using. I've narrowed it down between the Nikon Buckmaster and the Burris Fullfield II both in 3-9x40 with just a plain reticle because whoever will be using it more than likely won't be worrying about ballistics at different yardages much less understand them. What's everybodys opinions between these two choices?

I personally never had a burris but got 3 nikons. Two of them being buckmasters and one a nikon prostaff. The prostaff is a good scope also, I believe I payed 150 for my 3x9 prostaff. I also would check out the redfield revolutions made by leupold.

Well seeing that Nikon is using my name ( Buckmaster ) and aren't paying me royalties for using it , i would buy a Burris, a couple of my friends have the Burris, and are very happy with them.

I have never owned or used the Burris, but I have 2 Buckmasters, 6 - 18x40. One has plain reticle, the other has the dot. Love em both. I use them on my coyote/ground hog rifles. Good clear sight picture out there farther than I can shoot.

Never used a Burris but I have plenty of Nikon's. They have been great and customer service when needed has been great too.
