Depending on where and what your applying for, it is that time of year again.

Isn't AZ up first? When is that one due?

Never mind. Looks like Feb 14th. Elk BP and Antelope BP are purchased! Someday I'll have some awesome hunts (God willing).

Do I have to buy the BP before Feb. 14th too Seth? Buying as many points for as many states as I can this year.

I can't decide if i want to buy PP for AZ, or just put that money toward a Moose hunt some place.

Trent - I believe you do have to buy the point before 2/14. That's all I'm buying this year. The points are dirt cheap, the expensive thing is that you have to buy a license in the tune of $150-something.

yep I'm aware. It will probably come down to picking and choosing which states but Arizona is never a bad place to start so that when I have 10 points at the ripe old age of 30 I'll be hunting a decent unit.

I printed the Montana Application last night and filling it out for deer. I decided to put in for the deer tag I want in Colorado in 3 more years when I have enough PP for the Elk tag I want and do a combo hunt.

I have had a few people text me behind the scenes on AZ, so I'll just put down some of the common questions I've gotten:

Cost: $151.25 NR license, $7.50 elk bonus point, $7.50 antelope bonus point. Mule deer and sheep bonus points aren't up yet, they become available later in the year.

My take: I'm looking at about 10 bonus points to start to apply for my desired unit. The unit will change as mother nature takes her course, but I have a few years to let that happen. At this time, its going to be a once and a lifetime hunt, but things change.

I'm looking forward to someday hunt the great state of AZ.
