im thinking of taking a trip to wyoming next year for pronghorn. how do you judge what is a quality sized animal and what you should pass on?

Well, if you've never been to Wyoming before then shoot whatever makes you happy. It depends on the unit but basically there are at least a few 80+ers running around in nearly every unit. Pick a unit with good public access and have at it. If you want you can pick up some of the stuff by Eastmans....it's really the only stuff I've seen that's in readable form that will teach you how to judge them. Otherwise, once you've shot a few and seen a few shot you pretty much know what they score. I can usually score an antelope within 2" just by looking at it.

Get the Pronghorn Guide Service's "Size matters" video...not that you will see anything that size...but it gives you great rules and tricks for scoring goats.
