Does anybody have a bear mounted. I'm not talking about a rug. I've got a rug. I've got a bear in the freezer from last year, and can't figure out what I want to do with him. I was thinking about a half mount coming out of the wall standing on a rock or something like that. I'm just looking for some suggestions. If anybody has a bear mount post a pic so I can check it out.

Hopefully I will get mine soon. I have both skulls boiled out and on plaques. One is a plaque for a shelf and the other one is on the wall. I'm supposed to have a shoulder mount here soon. I have two family friends that are taxidermists and both refused to do a rug. Didn't know it was that hard honestly but one guy said he could do a shoulder mount. I'll show you how it looks if I ever get it back.

I don't have one but I have a friend that has one mounted and I love it. Its a full body mount standing with both front legs on a log with rocks, moss, and fake weeds and grass around. He's got it in the corner of his living room. He's a taxidermist so he did it himself. To have someone else do it for you would probably cost a little I'd imagion. I've never seen a shoulder mount on a bear that looks quite right.

Well, I decided on doing the half mount. I'm taking it to the taxi next week. It will have one foot on a rock, and the other foot taking a step. I hope it turns out good.

One of the best that I have seen is a full body mount stepping up on a log, with a steel bear trap set just on the other side of the log. But this was a griz.

That sounds awesome! I'd like to have this one full body mounted, but I don't have enough room. I need to get it off the ground.
