I still have 13 points in my back pocket. I will post them when I get the rack back from the processors with my tag on it.

Out last two night and saw 4 last night and about 30 tonight. Had on buck come in last night on the edge of shooting range at 4 minutes after shooting time sad.gif He is hurt in his front right shoulder. Fourth time I have seen him with no shot oportunities. I will be back at it next weekend.

Sure glad somebody broke the silence, it had been a little bit, still waiting to see jb's buck and waiting for a couple more nice bucks to fall in the late season and then were right back in it, either way still a lot of hunting to be done, good luck to those still at it!!!!

Well I entered up my 8 point. As soon as one of the other mods posts it we will be in 4th place with 65 points.

I was out last night. There is a 160 class ten point that has been in the same spot the last three hunts and walking right down the middle of a corn field that is 60 yards on the wrong side of the fence. We have seen three tremendous shooters in that corn and they have no taste for the standing beans or turnips on our side of the fence. The problem is we have had zero snow.

nice buck JB, by the sounds of it your still in a good position, even at 4th I think we may be a little out of reach, I think we did did decent but just not enough bucks, I know my season will come to a close on sunday and its been a pretty good year but still hate to see it go, I am going to have to start scheduling in a late season hunt in january from now on, I know a lot of states hunt all the way through the end of the month but in MI we only get the first day, oh well but good luck to all those still with an oppurtunity, late season can be easy pickens if your in the right spot!!!!!!

I have until Jamuary 15. I am not seeing any bucks anymore. The biggest buck on camera in the past month is a 100 inch 8 point. So nothing is really happening here.

I hate to post this. mad.gif Remember when I said this in the forum:

yall think. WERE ON THE BOARD!!!!!!!!

Awesome! Congrats on the teams first blood! biggrin.gif

Good pic too! Everyone make sure you take goog pics. Especially that one of you, the paper and the deer. Every year I have to deny entries because of the pics.

JB

Well you can check out my entry in the entry thread. I got me the deer and the paper, but forgot the date TWICE. I made two papers because the first was hard to read. I have no excuse. I took the pics at the taxidermist while we were skinning my buddies 170" 8 point that he shot not 300 yards from where I shot my 2 1/2 year old 8. The whole sorry story is here

I am sorry guys. I could probably make a case with the tag date when I get the rack back. Same rack, this years tag etc., but since we are so far back it is not really going to make a difference. Plus I am running the contest and I really need to follow the rules that I keep preaching. This is one of the most embarassing posts I have had to make capping off one of my most frustrating seasons.

We do have two more weeks of season left, but I will only get one weekend of hunting in. I am heading to Arkansas duck hunting on the 12th.

Don't sweat it JB, we are way more than just a few points out of the game. It seems every year this thing is decided sometime in November. One or two teams get hot, almost every team member kills bucks and they pull so far ahead there's no catching them. The best part is there is (God willing) another deer season just around the corner.

Of course it's really hard to not mention glass houses or praticing what you preach or something along those lines right now. wink.gif
