Guys, been busy with our new baby so haven't had a lot of time to hunt. She's healthy and 7 weeks old. I have been checking trail cams and I'm after a big 8 that will score 130. I'm strictly bow hunting this deer, so we'll see how it goes. I hunted last Friday and only saw does. He was 30 yards from my tree the day before at 4:45(via camera). Bad timing. Anyway, good luck to everyone and hope ya'll had a great Christmas. Is it too early to start thinking about turkeys? Oh yea, the rut doesn't start here until mid January.

Congrats on the new baby girl rrudder4, that's awesome news. I'm sure with the rut coming on, you'll get a chance at the buck you're after. Best of luck!

And no, its not too early to think about turkeys. I too, am fired up for it.

Man, finally connected. I haven't been hunting that much this year, but I shot a P an Y buck Saturday morning at 11:00 am. Well, he would have been a P and Y, but his right main beam was broken, so I guess he'll score as a 9. I'm after a big8 in the area, didn't know this buck was around.
