Revised Contest Schedule! Please Read! Options

Due to the site being down, here is the revised contest Schedule.

Regular Member entries close no later than August 28th at 7PM Central Time. We may close the entry thread slightly sooner if we have enough members for balanced teams.

Teams will be posted no later than September 1st. You must check in with your team by September 8th or you MAY BE REPLACED BY AN ALTERNATE!

Deer entries WILL NOT be acepted until September 1st!

If you have questions, please post them in this thread.

Do deer harvested before September 1st count. I know our season in Idaho opens before the first.

I understand the postponment of the dead line. Our season opens Aug. 15. So what do you want us to do if we kill one before it is put together. I do not expect you to change the date for me or any one else. We need some guidelines for what to do.

I am sorry guys but deer before the 1st of September will not count toward the contest. We did that just to keep away from the posibility of having issues assigning guys to teams when they already have a deer down.

I had looked at this a while back, and I just did another quick check. Going back through the entry threads though 2005 we have only ever had one deer entered in August and that was on the 29th. That is only one deer in six years of contest history.

You guys do a great job with the contest. I can understand the problem. The forum was down due to problems. Now we all have to understand and live with it. I am cool with it.

My season starts Aug.27th. I will be gone the first week of the season. During that time period, I will not have internet access. If I get something during that week, I will not know what team I will be on. Is there going to be an issue if I dont have the team number on the piece of paper?

That would be no problem. The main thing to have on the paper is the date. Just make sure you have all three requirements in the picture!

JB i am planning on moving around the first and might not internet access at the new house before the 8th. i will try my phone net but i didnt want to be replaced if i couldnt get on with work, new house and kids school. i will try my hardest to atleast check in before the 8th. once season gets going i will be fine with checking in but its just that week or two.

Scott, there is a fair chance we will close the sign ups early if we hit a majic number that will allow balanced teams so teams may be up before the first. Regardless, we understand your circumstances so just check in as soon as you can. I won't boot you, and I am guessing there is a fair chance your team members will want you to hang around if they remember your 09 season
