Have any of you hunted the unit for elk or deer and what class of bucks did you see when there..just trying to put together reasonable expectations for the hunt. From what I researched was limited pressure in a VERY rugged unit with VERY few roads. I see a 180 is possible and 150-160 shouldnt be out of the question? Thanks

I think you nailed it. Very ruff country with the potential of 180+ bucks although they will take work. I would expect you to see several a day in the 150 or better. Remember your optics and I would scout out vantage points before the season for doing your glassing.

Doesnt sound like finding vantage points wont be hard.. from what I hear u can glass for miles anywhere up high. Got the optics...just hooked up a jet boat to drop us in the canyon.

Should be a great hunt hope your legs can last. I can go about 5 days climbing and dropping 3000-4000 vertical feet a day before I need a day off.

Sounds like the unti has some bad genes..lotta crab claw 4's 3x3 and 4x3 genes with bad forks. Too abd a for a limited unit hunt in some of the most remote and rugged terrain in the country...I thought the unit would hold better bucks
