I have a model 7400 in .06, I guarantee you that the ones you hear of jaming are due to lack of proper cleaning.

Dale.

Or people could be thinking of the 770 models too.

Camryan,

I have a Remington 742 that is an old one. She is a fine rifle! And as the others have said if you keep them clean and properly oiled there should be no problems.
It is a fine rifle. In fact I purchased it years ago from the son of a fellow hunter who had passed away. Mine is in 30-06.

Camryn & BD

My 742 as conditions go. If it has been fired and all bluing and wood is in excellent shape = 95%. Looks like we have a couple of nice pieces!

BD! Great pictures! If I was smart and computer savvy enough to know how to attach pictures to this post I would send you some nice Smallmouth pictures.
The largest I have caught here on Dale Hollow was 24" Long 13.5 Girth. I took a picture of her measured her and sent her on her way. Had a artificial mount made of her. Hope another angler has the same joy someday. And oh yes releases her again.
