I drew a second choice archery tag for unit 18. I put in for an early rifle tag for 36 but no luck.

Thankfully my son & I drew mule deer tags for 2nd rifle season after missing out on the elk draw. 4 of us from PA will be heading to WY for a couple days of chasing speed goats then down to Leadville CO for Mulies

What unit did you draw? If it is 49 that is a great deer tag. I used to work at a mine near Leadville and some bruiser bucks live around there.

Area 48 where I elk hunted two years ago. My buddy has a cabin there so it was the best choice for us as I'm familiar with the area since we'll be going solo after opening weekend. Not known as a trophy mule deer area but my desire is always in the adventure and just extra grateful for the harvest. ....a chubby little 3x3 would be perfect & anything bigger the son can drag out! laugh.gif
