Hello-

I am going to do my first drop camp elk hunt in unit 18 in Colorado? Guide is dropping us off and we have 8 days to Git-er-done. Does anyone have any experience in that unit......in early Sept.???

brand new member but like what I have read so far.

Hey Kevin, thanks for the shout. Unit 18 is in north central Colorado. West of Rocky Mountain Nation Park. Some of the unit borders there but am pretty sure I will be hunting west of there.....Grand Lake, Granby

where in Western Colorado do you hunt. I have always hunted south central CO. Unit 79-68-82 etc.

I have done some research on units 6, 7 and 8 for a future hunt, but so far all my hunting has been in Units 711, 71 and 70. in SW Co. between Dove Creek and Telluride.
