I have shot 4 this year. There are a ton of swamp rabbits down here in south florida and last year we shot alot. Freezer is still full, can only eat so much. Sure is fun though.

IMHO The only way to rabbit hun is with 4-6 beagles and alot of ammo. Like I said earlier we use .22 pistols or we would limit out to fast. Final tally of the 2009-2010 season was 415 rabbits. We give alot of them away to people who do not have much food around here, they sure appreciate it. It's a good time to scout for deer, and recover deer other people have wounded during deer season. And yes it is a BLAST.

Very few rabbits down here this year. The population goes up and down, this year was down. We only killed a couple hundred. The weather was terrible, way too hot.

The population up here is way down. Have gone a few times and only a handful of rabbits. Its terrible up here this year. Hardly any snow and few hares'.
 At least have a few from last year in freezer.--------------------   Give a man a deer, he’ll eat for a day. Teach him to be a bowhunter, will feed his family for ever!!!! I spent most of my life hunting, the rest I have wasted. |
