Hello everyone,

I'm new here and i have a question for ya. When i go coyote huntin i have a pack that has a den about 800 yards from where we sit. I call and call about an hour before sunset but they only come out after dark. I'm using a rabbit in distress call. Does anyone know what i could try to get them out early??

take 5 gallons of unleaded and pour about 3 down it and step back with the shotgun give it ten minutes and if nothing comes out pour the other 2 gallons and top it off with a match- they will come out

Coyotes don't sleep in dens unless they have a litter which is in the spring. They will however hang out in that area since they are territorial. Start calling in different spots and forget about the den. If you poor gas down the den and they are actually in it they arent going to make it out they'll just die in it. My bet is that they arent in there to begin with.

Where are you located?
