I have passed on deer over the years that were quite a bit bigger than them all, like montanna said, i would rather take a doe for the freezer and hold out for a whopper buck.
I usually wind up throwing my buck tag away every year, but thats ok too. Im waiting for that buck of a lifetime these days. That third deer in the first set of pic. looks a whole lot like the fourth deer in the last set to me. Dale. -------------------- |

I agree with you Dale that is the same buck or you have two very unique looking twins running around. I would let that last deer walk another year jsut to see what else he will add next yeatr. Looks to have a lot of points and good tine length.

I agree with all of you. except the comment about letting it walk till the last day of the season. If you would pass on a deer walk on the first day. then why shoot it on the last? Shoot a doe for meat. let a buck get 6 to 7 years old and you, and your taxidermist wil be very happy. I thought about that right after I responded to this post, lol. You are right, I would let him walk because I did that last year with a buck, thought about shooting him for about 10 minutes before I decided not to pull the trigger. Thanks for keeping me straight... On a different note, I also thought the buck in the two sets of pics looked the same. Think pic 3 in set one and pic 4 in set two, they look the same to me. -------------------- |

The last buck in the first set of pics would be hard to pass. Cool looking rack. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Nice camera shots!! I say what would you be happy with? when that buck is standing at 20 yds. The nature of the hunt usually does it for me. How much seasons left, how much meat i have, did i rattle him in, did i grunt him in, these are things i weigh when i decide. i'm always happy with my decission. except 1 and thats why i say be humble and if your happy with it GOOD FOR YOU.. BE SAFE AND GOOD LUCK!!

i think that last one is bigger than he appears. i would definitely shoot him. and i think the last pic in the first set and the last pic in the second set are definitely the same deer. the G-2 on one side it longer than the other in both pictures. good luck getting one of them.
my philosophy is if you have to ask, or if there is any hesitation, then thats not the deer you want. -------------------- |

Of course I would, but thats because I just want some meat. That 3rd deer looks nice but seems young. 3 1/2 maybe that 2nd deer I didnt get a to good look at.
