Our population is growing, but there aren't that many birds in Oklahoma. I have gone to Iowa and South Dakota the last 3 years. Looks like I'll be going to Kansas this year to hunt pheasants!

21 Oct - 5 Nov and I can't hardly wait. Found us a real nice spot for Resident Opener this year. Hopefully gas will go down to make it worth our while. wink.gif Oh and BTW not all of South Dakota is hooked up with good Pheasant hunting. wink.gif

Washington has two seasons one in Eastern Wa which starts in the middle of Oct and ends in January. I don't know the Western Wa season. Predators and farming practices have taken a toll on the native polutation. There is a large release program but survial is dismal. The phesant game preseves are pretty good though. Some of them are canned but man, some of those places are hard to hunt. I like the challeging ones.

Photo is at the Miller Ranch in Wa. It is a game preserve I would recommend.

Yea ours starts the 6th but i go to a preserve in march sometime, mondays are the best because everyone pays for them to be released on saturday and they hunt that day then they dont get them while they're out there and they're all leftover on monday.
