Just thought I'd show off my first grouse. I shot it this year after I gave up on deer hunting.

Congrats on the grouse...I remember my first. My first woodcock too. My first deer......BTW did you just say that you gave up deer hunting??? What gives there?

Well I didn't really give up...we were packin up the truck at the cabin and decided to take a walk around the land with the shotgun instead. I had enough sitting fpr the day when I decided to go and pack up.

Nice bird...grouse are one of my fav. birds neat coloration and love to see them drum! Some day I'm gonna have a full mount done,next to turkeys their just so cool!WTG Bdhunter!
