These were all shot with shotguns, we used the left over steel shot from this fall, and some target rounds, the T shot really stopped them in their tracks, especially the Jack rabbit.

I use #6 out of my 20 gauge and it seems to do the trick. I can usually catch'em up to about 40 yds or so.

you guys ever use a rifle for them rabbits? i use a 223 for jacks (a bit much) and its pretty fun i shot one running from about 20 yards and i just saw furr go flyin it was pretty cool

Yeah, I use a 17 hmr, a 22-250 and a 243. Cuts them in half sometimes. Shot a Jack rabbit at 20 yards with the 243, that thing exploded. There was blood spatter 5 meters in every direction.

Anytime you want Okbowman, they don't taste bad here, but they have a hint of sage in them. The antelope here though taste like chewing on a sage brush, their meat actually smells like it. Never shoot or eat one of them again from this area.
