Frame Cajun

Trent (speak-the-language) s friend from primos forum......

Drove in from Wyoming.

Trent got in @2:30
Took him to 2 mills
@ 6:15 wind died, one gobbled at solar pond
Called him in in 15 min
Trent asked if I wanted him, BIG bird, I said. "take him"
22 lbs, 10 1/4 beard , 1 1/8 spurs
If my calling gets any better, as for kill success, I should quit my Jon and guide!
My ego is now swollen much bigger than my talents.........
5 mature birds in 2 days are down from the same spot
Best trip oft life!
4 days left to kill 2 birds

Sounds like they're having a good time. Glad Trent got his bird after that long drive!

L still trying for one more. I saw three birds yesterday, only one of which was a Tom. No gobbling since the one I shot. Heard one hen on the roost this morning and never saw anything. Heading out now to see if I can find one. I have 7 hours left to find my second bird!

Apparently 85 is a cold snap in Texas and shuts the birds down ohmy.gif

This came I'n yesterday from Wayne:

9.6 lbs
5 1/2 beard
Saw 5 birds this morning
One was a Jake, let him walk
My third bird
Have not heard a gobble in 2 days
